Benefits of Our Commercial Phone Systems

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a technology that converts your voice into a digital signal, allowing you to make a call directly from a computer, a VoIP phone, or other devices connected to your Local Area Network or to the Internet. SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is the most commonly used protocol in VoIP Phone Systems.  Digital Acoustics IP7 audio endpoints provide SIP  as a standard feature and also support efficient SIP Paging through the extended feature set of TalkMaster™ FOCUS VoIP Connect software.

  • Connection

The IP7 Firmware includes support for connecting to TalkMaster and/or SIP systems.

  • Configuration

The new S3 Firmware supports SIP systems and includes configuration via a web browser and the high fidelity G.722 voice codec.

The S3 version can optionally include support for both SIP and Singlewire InformaCast (additional charge applies).

SIP Capabilities and VoIP Software

SIP Capabilities Include:

  • The ability to “dial out” to an extension, hunt group or mobile phone when its TALK switch is pressed
  • The ability to receive and automatically answer an incoming SIP call
  • The ability to activate the IP Audio Endpoint’s  dry contact relay to open doors directly from a phone or software module
  • The high fidelity G.722 voice codec (S3 Firmware only)
  • If your VoIP Phone system supports SIP Paging Groups, overhead paging systems can be implemented using our IP Audio Endpoints
  • For added functionality with IP7 firmware, configure an IP Audio Endpoint as a hybrid SIP/TalkMaster FOCUS client.  The Endpoint can place a call to TalkMaster and if not answered, can then dial out to a SIP phone or cell phone through the VoIP Phone system

VoIP Connect Software

If your VoIP Phone System does not support SIP Paging Groups, you may need the extended capabilities of TalkMaster FOCUS VoIP Connect (an additional service that communicates with TalkMaster FOCUS Server):

  • Integrates with most SIP 2.0 phone systems by creating a “gateway” between your VoIP Phone System, TalkMaster FOCUS and IP Audio Endpoints.
  • Adds SIP Paging functionality to your VoIP system using either Multicast or Unicast network protocols to minimize network bandwidth across your LAN or WAN.
  • Make live or “record then send” announcements from phones connected to your VoIP Phone system.
  • Make pre-recorded alert and emergency notification announcements from optional TalkMaster FOCUS Automation software components.
